The TPS3828-33QDBVRQ1 is an automotive-qualified member of the TPS382x-Q1 family of processor supervisory circuits from Texas Instruments. It monitors a 3.3V supply rail with a fixed threshold of 2.93V and 2.4% accuracy. The device integrates a watchdog timer with 1.6s timeout that requires periodic strobing via the WDI pin to prevent a reset assertion. A manual reset input (MR) allows external pushbutton reset generation. The open-drain active-low RESET output provides flexibility in system reset architectures. During power-up, the 200ms fixed delay ensures proper system initialization. With only 15uA supply current and AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification (-40C to 125C), it is ideal for automotive MCU/DSP supervision.

The TPS3828-33QDBVRQ1 monitors VDD against an internal fixed threshold (2.93V). (1) Power-On Reset: When VDD exceeds 1.1V, RESET asserts low. RESET remains active until VDD rises above VIT- + VHYS and the 200ms timeout expires. (2) Undervoltage Detection: If VDD drops below VIT- (2.93V), RESET immediately asserts low. (3) Watchdog Timer: The 1.6s timer starts after power-on reset. A transition on WDI resets the timer. If WDI is not strobed within 1.6s, RESET asserts for 200ms, then the timer restarts. Leaving WDI floating disables the watchdog. (4) Manual Reset: Pulling MR low forces RESET active. (5) Open-Drain Output: An external pullup resistor is required on RESET.
