The TPD6E004RSER uses a rail-to-rail steering diode architecture to divert ESD energy away from protected lines. **Steering Subsystem**: Each channel consists of upper and lower steering diodes connected between the signal line and the VCC and GND rails respectively. During normal operation, the diodes are reverse-biased and present only 1.6 pF capacitance to the signal path. **ESD Diversion**: When an ESD strike occurs, the steering diodes rapidly conduct, directing the surge current to the power supply rails.
