When paired with TI CC11xx or CC430 Sub-1 GHz transceivers, it provides a typical 6 dB sensitivity improvement in receive mode and up to 27 dBm output power in transmit mode, significantly extending communication range for wireless sensor and metering applications.

The CC1190RGVR operates as a bidirectional RF front-end that switches between transmit and receive modes. **Transmit Path**: In TX mode, the low-power RF signal from the transceiver enters the PA_IN pin. The integrated power amplifier boosts the signal to +27 dBm output at the PA_OUT/LNA_IN pin. The PA achieves 50% power-added efficiency at 26 dBm output, minimizing current draw from the 2-3.7V supply. **Receive Path**: In RX high-gain mode (HGM=high), the incoming RF signal enters PA_OUT/LNA_IN through the TR switch. The LNA amplifies the signal with 2.9 dB noise figure before it exits at LNA_OUT to the transceiver. In RX low-gain mode (HGM=low), the LNA is bypassed, consuming only 26 uA. **Control Logic**: PA_EN and LNA_EN pins control the operating mode (TX, RX high-gain, RX low-gain, or shutdown).
