The WRB1205S-3WR2 is a 3W isolated DC-DC converter from Cincon in SIP-4 (Single Inline Package, 4 pins), converting 12V input to 5V output with 1500VDC input-to-output isolation. The converter uses a flyback topology with an internal transformer providing galvanic isolation between input and output. The switching frequency is approximately 100kHz. The efficiency is 75-80% typical at full load. The input voltage range is 10.8-13.2V (2:1 range, narrow input for 12V bus systems). The output voltage regulation is +/-3% at full load, with no external components required. The isolation voltage is 1500VDC (tested for 1 second), meeting basic safety isolation for industrial applications. The isolation capacitance is 20pF typical, limiting common-mode noise coupling. The output ripple is 50mVpp typical at full load, which may require an external LC filter for noise-sensitive applications. The device features: (1) Under-voltage lockout (UVLO) at 9.5V; (2) Over-current protection (hiccup mode); (3) Short-circuit protection (auto-recovery). The SIP-4 package (20.5 x 9.5 x 12mm) provides through-hole mounting with 2.54mm pin pitch. The -3WR2 suffix specifies 3W output, regulated output.
