The S9V11F5S6CMA from Pololu is a compact step-up/step-down voltage regulator module that efficiently produces a fixed 5V output from input voltages between 2V and 16V. Based on the Texas Instruments TPS630701 buck-boost converter IC, it delivers up to 2A output current with efficiency up to 95%. The 2.5MHz switching frequency enables a small module footprint of 17.8 x 12.7mm with an integrated inductor. The buck-boost topology allows the input voltage to be above, below, or equal to the output voltage, making it ideal for battery-powered applications where the battery voltage varies over its discharge curve. An enable pin allows logic-controlled shutdown, and the module includes reverse voltage protection.

The S9V11F5S6CMA is based on the TI TPS630701 buck-boost converter IC.
