The PIC16F1936-I/SP from Microchip is an 8-bit PIC16 MCU with 28KB Flash, 1KB RAM, 12-bit ADC, LCD driver, and 2 comparators in SPDIP-28 through-hole.

The PIC16F1936-I/SP is an 8-bit enhanced mid-range PIC MCU from Microchip with 28KB Flash, 1KB RAM, and 256B EEPROM in 28-SPDIP. The enhanced mid-range core adds 14 new instructions (total 49) and supports 16-bit WREG and indexed addressing modes. The 32MHz internal oscillator provides 8 MIPS throughput (125ns instruction cycle). The 10-bit ADC supports 24 input channels with conversion time of 11.5us. The hardware LCD driver supports up to 96 segments (24×4 or 16×6), directly driving segment LCD glass without external driver ICs. Two comparators with SR latches enable hardware-level threshold detection and signal conditioning without CPU intervention. The Enhanced Universal Synchronous/Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (EUSART) supports 9-bit addressing and auto-wake-up on start bit. The MSSP supports SPI and I2C master/slave modes. Four 8-bit timers and two 16-bit timers provide PWM generation for motor control and LED dimming. The data signal modifier (DSM) module can route any internal signal to any pin. The -I suffix specifies industrial temperature range (-40C to +85C). The 28-SPDIP package is ideal for through-hole prototyping and hobbyist projects.
