The M24M01-RMN6TP is a 1Mbit (128KB) I2C EEPROM from STMicroelectronics in TSSOP-8, operating from 1.8V to 5.5V with 400kHz I2C clock rate. The memory is organized as 131,072 x 8 bits, addressed via a 17-bit address word sent as two bytes after the device address byte. The I2C device address is 1010+A16+E2+E1+E0, where A16 is the MSB of the memory address and E0-E2 are hardware-selectable chip enable pins. This allows up to 8 devices on the same I2C bus for a total of 8Mbit (1MB). The WC (Write Control) pin, when driven LOW, protects the entire memory array from write operations, useful for protecting calibration data or firmware settings. The page-write mode allows writing up to 256 bytes in a single operation: after the initial byte is written, subsequent bytes are latched internally and programmed simultaneously with a typical 5ms write cycle. Random read requires a dummy write sequence (send address, then restart as read). Sequential read allows continuous reading at up to 400kHz without re-addressing. The device supports 4 million write cycles per byte and retains data for 200 years at 55C. The -RMN6TP suffix specifies TSSOP-8, automotive grade, tape-and-reel.
