The device provides 328 user I/O pins supporting multiple I/O standards including LVDS, SSTL, HSTL, and standard 3.3V/2.5V/1.8V CMOS. Four PLLs enable flexible clock generation and management. The FPGA supports external memory interfaces including DDR, DDR2, and SDR SDRAM. The FBGA-484 package (23 x 23 mm) provides high I/O density in a compact footprint. The EP4CE30F23I7N uses a 60nm SRAM-based FPGA architecture. The core consists of Logic Array Blocks (LABs), each containing 10 Logic Elements (LEs). Each LE contains a 4-input look-up table (LUT), a programmable register, and carry chain logic. The LUT can implement any 4-input Boolean function, and the register provides sequential logic capability. M9K embedded memory blocks can be configured as single-port or dual-port RAM, ROM, FIFO buffers, or shift registers in various width/depth configurations. The 18×18 embedded multipliers perform hardware multiplication for DSP operations. PLLs generate precise clock frequencies from a reference clock, with features including phase shifting, frequency multiplication/division, and programmable duty cycle. Configuration data is loaded from an external serial or parallel flash device at power-up.
