The OPA2343UA/2K5 from Texas Instruments is a dual rail-to-rail input/output CMOS operational amplifier with 5.5 MHz gain bandwidth product and 1 pA typical input bias current. The CMOS input stage provides virtually zero input current, making it ideal for high-impedance sensor interfaces such as piezoelectric transducers and photodiode amplifiers. The rail-to-rail input and output capability maximizes dynamic range in single-supply applications from 2.5V to 5.5V. The +/-1 mV maximum offset voltage and 80 dB CMRR support precision signal processing. The 5.5 MHz bandwidth and 6 V/us slew rate enable active filter and signal conditioning applications at frequencies well beyond DC.

The OPA2343UA/2K5 uses a CMOS input stage with complementary P-channel and N-channel differential pairs to achieve rail-to-rail input common-mode range. The transition between the two pairs occurs at a crossover voltage near mid-supply. The folded-cascode gain stage provides the high DC gain needed for low offset and high CMRR. The output stage uses complementary P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs in a push-pull configuration that swings to within a few millivolts of both supply rails at light loads. The 1 pA input bias current is inherent to the MOSFET gate input, where the gate oxide provides virtually infinite DC input resistance. The internal compensation ensures unity-gain stability. The /2K5 suffix indicates tape and reel packaging with 2500 devices per reel.
