The 74HCT541D from Nexperia is an octal non-inverting buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs and TTL-compatible input levels in an SOIC-20 package. Dual active-LOW output enables, 6 mA drive, and data flow-through pinout make it ideal for 5V bus buffering, memory I/O port expansion, and TTL-to-CMOS interfacing.

The 74HCT541D implements eight identical non-inverting buffer channels with 3-state output capability. Each channel passes the input signal to the output without inversion (Yn = An) when enabled. The HCT variant features TTL-compatible input threshold voltages (VIH = 2.0V, VIL = 0.8V), allowing direct interface with 5V TTL outputs from microcontrollers and legacy logic. The two output enable inputs (OE1, OE2) are NOR-gated; if either OE is HIGH, all eight outputs enter high-impedance state. The data flow-through pinout places all inputs (pins 2-9) on one side and all outputs (pins 11-18) on the other, simplifying PCB routing for bus-oriented designs. Input clamp diodes protect against voltages exceeding VCC.
