The BC856BW from Nexperia is a 65V, 100 mA PNP general-purpose bipolar junction transistor in a tiny SOT-323 (SC-70) package. With hFE of 220-475 (B-group), 100 MHz transition frequency, and low saturation voltage, it is the higher-voltage complement to the BC857BW. AEC-Q101 qualified (W-Q variant) for automotive applications, ideal for general-purpose switching and amplification where higher voltage headroom is needed.

The BC856BW from Nexperia is a 65V, 100 mA PNP general-purpose transistor in an ultra-small SOT-323 (SC-70) package. With hFE of 220-475 (B-group), 100 MHz fT, and complementary NPN BC846BW, it offers higher voltage headroom than BC857BW for switching and amplification in 24V-48V industrial, automotive, and consumer applications.

The BC856BW is a PNP bipolar junction transistor with 65V collector-emitter breakdown, providing 20V more voltage headroom than the BC857BW. The higher breakdown voltage is achieved through a more lightly doped collector region and wider base. In active mode, current flows from emitter to collector when the base-emitter junction is forward-biased (VBE < -0.6V). The B-group hFE range (220-475) matches the BC857BW, enabling direct substitution in circuits requiring higher voltage capability while maintaining the same gain characteristics. The complementary NPN BC846BW (also 65V) enables push-pull amplifier designs with matched voltage ratings.
