The FAN4274IMU8X from onsemi is a dual rail-to-rail input/output CMOS operational amplifier with 10 MHz gain bandwidth product and 6 V/us slew rate. The CMOS input stage provides 1 pA typical input bias current, making it suitable for high-impedance sensor interfaces. The rail-to-rail input and output capability maximizes dynamic range in single-supply applications from 2.5V to 5.5V. The 10 MHz bandwidth and 6 V/us slew rate support active filter and signal conditioning applications beyond DC. The MSOP-8 (Micro8) package provides a compact footprint for space-constrained designs.

The FAN4274IMU8X uses a CMOS input stage with complementary P-channel and N-channel differential pairs to achieve rail-to-rail input common-mode range. When the input voltage is near VCC, the N-channel pair is active; when near ground, the P-channel pair takes over. The transition between pairs occurs at approximately mid-supply and is managed by a seamless crossover circuit that minimizes distortion at the transition point. The output stage uses complementary P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs in a push-pull configuration that swings to within millivolts of both supply rails at light loads. The 10 MHz GBW and 6 V/us slew rate are achieved through a folded-cascode gain stage with internal compensation. The 1 pA input bias current is inherent to the CMOS gate input, as the gate oxide provides virtually infinite DC input resistance.
