The D45H11G from onsemi is a PNP complementary silicon power transistor rated at -80V VCEO and -10A IC in a TO-252 (DPAK) surface-mount package. The device provides a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 60 at IC=-3A, making it suitable for driving moderate loads directly from logic-level signals. It is the PNP complement to the D44H11G NPN transistor, enabling push-pull output stages and complementary drive circuits. Maximum power dissipation is 40W at TC=25C with an operating temperature range of -55C to +150C.

The D45H11G is a PNP bipolar junction power transistor. (1) PNP Structure: A p-type emitter injects holes into the n-type base, which are collected by the p-type collector. Base current controls the collector current with current gain (hFE). (2) Darlington Alternative: While not a Darlington, the high hFE (60 minimum at 3A) provides sufficient gain for many direct-drive applications. (3) Saturation: In saturation, VCE(sat) is typically -0.5V at IC=-3A, providing acceptable efficiency for linear and switching applications. (4) Complementary Operation: The D44H11G NPN provides matched characteristics for push-pull amplifier and motor drive H-bridge designs.
