The LM2901DR2G from onsemi is a quad single-supply voltage comparator in a SOIC-14 package. The device consists of four independent precision voltage comparators designed to operate from a single 3V to 36V supply or from split supplies of +/-1.5V to +/-18V. The 25nA typical input bias current makes the comparators suitable for high-impedance sensor interfaces without loading the signal source. The input common-mode voltage range extends to ground, enabling true single-supply operation where the inputs can be at or near ground potential. The open-collector output can sink up to 16mA and provides a low 130mV typical saturation voltage at 4mA, allowing direct interface with TTL and CMOS logic levels. The open-collector architecture also enables wired-OR output connections for multi-comparator functions. ESD clamps on the inputs protect against electrostatic discharge without affecting normal device operation. The 1.3us typical response time is adequate for most level detection and signal conditioning applications. The LM2901 is the automotive-grade variant of the industry-standard LM339 comparator family, qualified for operation from -40C to +105C with AEC-Q100 availability (NCV2901).

工作原理：LM2901DR2G 工作原理

The LM2901DR2G contains four identical comparator circuits. (1) Comparator Core: Each comparator has inverting (-) and non-inverting (+) inputs and an open-collector output. The comparator amplifies the voltage difference between the two inputs. When the non-inverting input voltage exceeds the inverting input, the output transistor turns off (output high via external pull-up). When the inverting input exceeds the non-inverting input, the output transistor turns on (output low, saturating to approximately 130mV at 4mA). (2) Input Stage: The PNP input stage allows the common-mode voltage range to extend to ground, a key advantage over many op-amps used as comparators. The 25nA input bias current flows out of the input pins. (3) Open-Collector Output: The output can only sink current (pull to ground). An external pull-up resistor is required to establish the high-level output voltage. This allows the output to be pulled up to any voltage up to 36V, independent of the comparator supply voltage, enabling level-shifting functions. (4) Wired-OR: Multiple open-collector outputs can be connected together with a single pull-up resistor to implement OR logic functions.
