The device contains four independent 2-input OR gates, each implementing the Boolean function Y = A + B. The wide 3V to 15V supply voltage range makes the device suitable for a variety of logic system voltage levels, from low-voltage 3V battery-powered systems to 15V industrial logic. The CMOS construction provides low quiescent power dissipation and high noise immunity compared to bipolar TTL logic families. Input clamp diodes on all inputs enable the use of current-limiting resistors to interface input signals that exceed the supply voltage, providing flexibility in mixed-voltage system designs. The standardized symmetrical output characteristics ensure consistent drive capability in both high and low output states. 工作原理：HEF4071BT 工作原理

The HEF4071BT implements four independent CMOS OR gates. (1) OR Gate Logic: Each gate performs the Boolean OR function Y = A + B. The output is HIGH when either or both inputs are HIGH, and LOW only when both inputs are LOW. (2) CMOS Implementation: Each OR gate is constructed using complementary N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs. The P-channel devices connect the output to VDD when the output should be HIGH, and the N-channel devices connect the output to VSS when the output should be LOW. This complementary structure provides rail-to-rail output swing and low static power dissipation. (3) Input Clamp Diodes: Each input has clamp diodes connected to VDD and VSS. If the input voltage exceeds VDD or goes below VSS, the clamp diodes conduct, limiting the voltage excursion. External current-limiting resistors can be used to safely interface signals above VDD, allowing voltage level translation. (4) Noise Immunity: The CMOS switching thresholds are approximately 50% of VDD, providing high noise margin at both logic levels.
