The BAT54J,115 from Nexperia is a small signal Schottky diode in a compact SOD-323F surface mount package. The Schottky barrier construction provides a low 0.32 V typical forward voltage drop and negligible reverse recovery time, making it ideal for high-frequency signal and low-power rectification applications. The 30 V reverse voltage and 300 mA forward current ratings cover a wide range of signal conditioning and power management circuits. The ultra-small SOD-323F footprint (2.5 x 1.25 mm) enables high-density PCB layouts in portable and space-constrained applications.

The BAT54J,115 uses a metal-semiconductor Schottky barrier junction. When forward-biased, electrons cross the Schottky barrier from the semiconductor to the metal with a voltage drop determined by the barrier height, typically 0.32 V at 1 mA. Because current conduction occurs via majority carriers only, there is no minority carrier storage charge. This means the diode switches off almost instantly when the forward bias is removed, with negligible reverse recovery time and no reverse recovery current spike. The low junction capacitance (10 pF typical) further supports high-frequency operation. In reverse bias, the depletion region blocks current flow up to the 30 V breakdown rating.
