The ATMEGA328-AUR from Microchip Technology is the tape-and-reel (AUR suffix) production packaging variant of the ATMEGA328-AU, an 8-bit AVR RISC microcontroller in a 32-pin TQFP package. It provides 32KB ISP Flash, 2KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM, 23 I/O pins, 8-channel 10-bit ADC, 6 PWM channels, USART, SPI, and I2C interfaces. Operating from 1.8V to 5.5V at up to 20MHz, it delivers near 1 MIPS per MHz throughput. The AUR suffix indicates tape-and-reel packaging with 2000 units per reel, suitable for SMT production. Note: This device is NRND; ATMEGA328PB-AUR is recommended for new designs.

The ATMEGA328-AUR is functionally identical to the ATMEGA328P-AU, using the AVR enhanced RISC architecture with Harvard bus and 2-stage pipeline. The 32 general-purpose registers are directly connected to the ALU for single-cycle register access. The ISP Flash supports in-system programming and read-while-write through a boot loader section. Six power-saving modes (Idle, ADC Noise Reduction, Power-save, Power-down, Standby, Extended Standby) allow flexible power optimization. The 16-bit Timer/Counter with input capture and PWM supports motor control and audio applications.
