The XC7A15T-1CSG325C from AMD (Xilinx) is the smallest Artix-7 FPGA with GTP transceivers, featuring 16,640 logic cells, 4.9Mb Block RAM (10 BRAM36K), 40 DSP48E1 slices, and 4 GTP multi-gigabit transceivers up to 6.6Gbps in a CSG325 BGA package. The -1 speed grade provides commercial performance at 0C to +85C. The device includes a PCIe 2.1 endpoint block, clock management tiles with PLL and MMCM, and supports configuration via JTAG, SelectMAP, or SPI/BPI flash. The CSG325 package provides up to 210 user I/O pins with 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V I/O bank support.

The XC7A15T-1CSG325C uses the Xilinx 7-series FPGA architecture. (1) CLB: Configurable Logic Blocks contain LUTs (6-input), flip-flops, and carry logic for implementing combinational and sequential logic. (2) Block RAM: 10 BRAM36K blocks provide dual-port synchronous RAM. (3) DSP48E1: Each slice implements a 25×18 multiplier with 48-bit accumulator for efficient signal processing. (4) GTP Transceivers: 4 serial transceivers handle 6.6Gbps line rates with 8b/10b or 64b/66b encoding for PCIe, SATA, and CPRI protocols. (5) CMT: Clock management tiles include MMCM and PLL for frequency synthesis and jitter filtering. (6) Configuration: Bitstream loaded from external flash or via JTAG/SelectMAP.
