The RCLAMP3374N.TCT from Semtech is a RailClamp TVS diode array specifically designed to protect Gigabit Ethernet interfaces from ESD, cable discharge events (CDE), and electrical fast transients (EFT). It incorporates surge-rated, low-capacitance steering diodes and an internal TVS diode in a single SLP3020N10 package. The device protects two line pairs (four lines) with flow-through pin configuration for easy PCB layout, while maintaining low loading capacitance below 5pF for high-speed signal integrity.

The RCLAMP3374N uses Semtech’s proprietary EPD (Enhanced Protection Device) process technology combining low-capacitance steering diodes with an internal silicon-avalanche TVS diode. Each I/O pin pair features a steering diode bridge that routes harmful surge current into the central TVS diode, which clamps the voltage to a safe level. The EPD process provides low stand-off voltages with significant reductions in leakage current and capacitance compared to standard silicon-avalanche processes. The flow-through layout allows TX+/TX- signal traces to pass under the device with minimal parasitic inductance.
