The MCP3421AOT-E/CH from Microchip is an 18-bit single-channel delta-sigma ADC with I2C interface, on-board 2.048V reference, and programmable PGA (1/2/4/8). Supports 12/14/16/18-bit resolution with data rates from 3.7 to 240 SPS in tiny SOT-23-6.

Delta-sigma modulator oversamples input. Digital filter decimates to configurable output resolution. PGA amplifies small signals. Internal 2.048V reference ensures stable measurement. I2C provides configuration and data readback.
