The MAX6629MTT+T is a 12-bit digital temperature sensor from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) with SPI-compatible serial interface. The MAX6629MTT+T is a 12-bit digital temperature sensor from Analog Devices with SPI-compatible serial interface, providing +/-1C accuracy from 0 to +70C and 0.0625C resolution over the -55C to +150C range. The 200uA active supply current and 100ms conversion time balance accuracy with power consumption. A programmable thermostat function enables standalone over-temperature monitoring without continuous host polling.

The MAX6629 uses a bandgap temperature sensing element that generates a voltage proportional to absolute temperature. A 12-bit ADC converts this voltage to a digital temperature value with 0.0625C resolution. The SPI-compatible interface (3-wire: CS, SCK, DOUT) provides readout of the temperature register and configuration of the thermostat threshold. In continuous conversion mode, the device periodically measures temperature; in standby mode, it only converts on command to save power. The thermostat output asserts when temperature exceeds the programmed threshold.
