The AS7341-DLGM is an 11-channel multi-spectral digital sensor from ams-OSRAM providing 8 visible light channels with narrow bandpass filters, 1 near-IR channel, 1 clear channel, and 1 flicker detection channel. With a built-in 16-bit ADC and I2C interface, it enables spectral analysis in a tiny OSLP package. The dedicated flicker detection engine can detect light source flicker up to 1kHz, critical for camera exposure control and display quality assessment.

The AS7341 uses an array of photodiodes with on-chip interference filters that pass specific narrow wavelength bands. Each of the 8 visible channels measures light intensity in a specific spectral band (F1-F8 covering approximately 415nm-680nm). The NIR channel extends detection to near-infrared wavelengths. The clear channel measures total visible light without filtering. The flicker detection channel uses a separate photodiode with dedicated circuitry to detect periodic light variations. The integrated 16-bit ADC converts photocurrents to digital values with programmable gain and integration time. Results are read via I2C.
