The BC847BDW is a dual NPN general-purpose transistor integrating two independent NPN transistors in a 6-pin SOT363 package. Each transistor features 45 V VCEO, 100 mA collector current, and hFE of 200-450. As the NPN complement to the BC857BS dual PNP, the BC847BDW enables compact push-pull and complementary pair designs. The dual configuration reduces component count in current mirrors, differential amplifiers, and multi-stage signal paths.

The BC847BDW integrates two NPN bipolar junction transistors on a single die with independent electrical connections. Each NPN transistor consists of an N-type emitter, P-type base, and N-type collector. In the active region, a small base current (electrons flowing into the base) controls a larger collector current (electrons flowing from emitter through base to collector), with gain determined by hFE (200-450). When paired with the BC857BS PNP dual in push-pull configurations, the complementary NPN/PNP pair can source and sink current alternately, enabling Class-AB amplifier outputs and bidirectional motor drive from a single SOT363 footprint per polarity.
