The ADV3003ACPZ from Analog Devices is a high-speed 2:1 HDMI signal multiplexer/switch in a compact 32-lead LFCSP package, supporting HDMI 1.4 data rates up to 3.4 Gbps per TMDS channel. The device switches between two HDMI input sources and routes the selected source to a single HDMI output, enabling dual-HDMI-input designs in TVs, monitors, projectors, and AV receivers. Each of the four differential pairs (three TMDS data channels plus one clock channel) includes programmable input equalization that compensates for signal degradation from PCB traces and cables up to several meters. The device operates from a single 3.3 V supply with 120 mA typical current consumption. Input selection can be controlled via I2C interface or dedicated control pins, providing flexibility for different system architectures. The ADV3003 is pin-compatible with other Analog Devices HDMI switch products for design scalability.

The ADV3003ACPZ implements a 2:1 multiplexer for each of the four differential TMDS signal pairs. The high-speed differential inputs are terminated internally with 50 Ω to VDD. Programmable input equalization applies a high-frequency boost to compensate for the frequency-dependent loss of PCB traces and cables, restoring signal edge rates before the multiplexer stage. The multiplexer selects between Input A and Input B based on the I2C or pin control settings. After multiplexing, the signals are re-driven to the output with low additive jitter. The I2C interface provides access to control registers for equalization settings, input selection, and status monitoring. The device also supports hot-plug detection (HPD) signal routing and DDC (I2C for EDID) switching between the selected input and the output.
