The 24AA64T-I/OT is a 64Kbit I2C compatible serial EEPROM from Microchip Technology, organized as 8K x 8-bit. It supports low-voltage operation down to 1.7V with ultra-low standby current of 1uA, making it ideal for battery-powered and low-power applications. The device features a 32-byte page write buffer, 400kHz clock compatibility, and Schmitt trigger inputs for enhanced noise immunity. With 1 million erase/write cycle endurance and over 200 years of data retention, it provides reliable non-volatile storage.

The 24AA64 communicates via the I2C protocol using SDA (data) and SCL (clock) lines. The device address is set by three address pins (A0, A1, A2), allowing up to 8 devices on the same bus. Write operations are initiated by sending the device address followed by the memory address and data bytes. The 32-byte page write buffer allows writing up to 32 bytes in a single operation. Read operations can be sequential (current address read) or random (random read with address specification). The hardware write-protect pin prevents accidental data modification.
