ULQ2004ATDRQ1 from ST is an automotive AEC-Q100 7-channel Darlington array with clamp diodes. 500mA/channel. hFE greater than 1000 allows direct MCU GPIO drive. TDRQ1 = SOIC-16 tape-and-reel automotive grade.

Working Principle

Darlington pair: two cascaded NPN transistors. Small base current amplified by both stages. Clamp diodes protect against inductive kickback. Common emitter sinks load current to ground.
