The device operates from a 1.5V to 6.0V input supply, making it suitable for single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer battery applications as well as 3.3V and 5V rail post-regulation. With 0.7% typical output voltage accuracy, 25uA quiescent current, and 50dB PSRR, the TLV75801PDRVR delivers clean, precise power for noise-sensitive RF, analog, and portable applications in a compact 2x2mm WSON-6 package with an enable pin for power sequencing.

The TLV75801PDRVR operates as a precision low-dropout linear regulator with adjustable output. (1) The output voltage is set by an external resistor divider connected to the FB pin, with the internal error amplifier comparing the divided feedback voltage against a precision 0.55V reference. The error amplifier drives the pass transistor to maintain the output voltage at the desired level. (2) The P-channel MOSFET pass transistor provides low dropout operation (130mV at 500mA) since the gate can be driven close to ground when VIN is only slightly above VOUT. (3) The enable pin (EN) controls the pass transistor gate, disabling the output and reducing quiescent current to below 1uA when pulled low. (4) Protection circuits include foldback current limit, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and output auto-discharge when disabled.
