The SS34-E3/57T is a 3A 40V Schottky rectifier from Vishay in SMA (DO-214AC) package. The SS34 is one of the most commonly used Schottky diodes in low-voltage DC-DC converters. The forward voltage drop is 0.55V at 3A at 25C, lower than PN junction rectifiers (0.9-1.3V), reducing conduction losses. The zero reverse recovery time eliminates switching losses, making it suitable for high-frequency converters up to several hundred kHz. The 40V rating covers 5V and 12V DC-DC converter output stages. The reverse leakage is 0.5mA at 40V at 25C. The -E3/57T suffix specifies SMA, lead-free, tape-and-reel.
