The ISO7241CDWR from Texas Instruments is a quad-channel digital isolator in a wide-body 16-SOIC package providing 8mm creepage/clearance. With three forward channels and one reverse channel, it supports 25Mbps data rates with 2500Vrms galvanic isolation per UL1577. The capacitive SiO2 isolation barrier provides high reliability with 25kV/us minimum CMTI. The wide-body package provides 8mm creepage for enhanced safety. The device operates from 3.15V to 5.5V on either side, supporting level translation across the isolation barrier.

The ISO7241CDWR uses capacitive coupling through a silicon dioxide insulation barrier. Each channel consists of an input buffer, high-voltage coupling capacitors, and an output buffer with signal conditioning. The input signal is encoded and transmitted differentially across the capacitive barrier, then decoded and reconstructed on the output side. The differential structure rejects common-mode transients up to 25kV/us. The three forward channels transmit from Side 1 to Side 2, while the reverse channel transmits from Side 2 to Side 1. Each channel operates independently with 28ns typical propagation delay.
