El FAN7392N de onsemi (anteriormente Fairchild) es un CI monolítico de accionamiento de puerta de lado alto y bajo en un encapsulado PDIP de 14 patillas capaz de accionar MOSFETs e IGBTs que operan hasta +600V. Dispone de una corriente de salida fuente/receptor de 3 A/3 A, entradas compatibles con la lógica de 3,3 V, alimentación lógica VDD independiente (de 3,3 V a 20 V), bloqueo de subtensión para VCC y VBS, desconexión activada por flanco ciclo a ciclo, retardo de propagación igualado para ambos canales y cancelación de ruido dv/dt de modo común. El FAN7392 proporciona salidas de accionamiento de puerta de lado alto y bajo independientes (HO y LO), cada una de ellas con capacidad de 3 A de corriente de origen y 3 A de corriente de sumidero. La etapa de salida con búfer utiliza transistores totalmente NMOS para una capacidad de conducción de corriente de pulso alta y una conducción cruzada mínima durante las transiciones de conmutación.

El controlador de lado alto utiliza una alimentación flotante de arranque (VB-VS) que permite un funcionamiento de hasta +600 V. El proceso de alto voltaje de onsemi y las técnicas de cancelación de ruido en modo común proporcionan un funcionamiento estable en circunstancias de alto ruido dv/dt. El circuito avanzado de cambio de nivel ofrece un funcionamiento del controlador de puerta de lado alto hasta VS = -9,8 V (típico) para VBS = 15 V, crítico para aplicaciones de accionamiento de motores en las que se producen transitorios VS negativos.

Las entradas lógicas (HIN, LIN, SD) son compatibles con la salida estándar CMOS o LSTTL, hasta 3,3 V lógicos. Una patilla de alimentación lógica VDD independiente (de 3,3 V a 20 V) permite la interconexión directa con microcontroladores de 3,3 V sin traducción de nivel. La patilla SD (apagado) proporciona un apagado ciclo a ciclo activado por flanco para ambos canales, útil para la protección contra sobrecorriente.

El circuito de bloqueo por subtensión (UVLO) impide el funcionamiento incorrecto cuando VCC (alimentación del lado bajo) y VBS (alimentación del lado alto) están por debajo de la tensión umbral especificada, garantizando que los MOSFET/IGBT no entren en funcionamiento lineal durante el encendido.

El retardo de propagación está adaptado para ambos canales (130 ns de activación, 150 ns de desactivación típicos), lo que permite una conmutación complementaria precisa en configuraciones de puente. Las salidas están en fase con las señales de entrada (HIN=ALTA produce HO=ALTA).

El encapsulado PDIP-14 proporciona una disipación de potencia de 1,6 W a 25 C ambiente con una resistencia térmica de 75 C/W. Para aplicaciones de montaje en superficie, también está disponible la variante FAN7392MX (SOIC-16W), pero también en estado de últimos envíos.

Para nuevos diseños, onsemi recomienda el FAN7390 o el NCP51530 como dispositivos de sustitución.

**El driver del lado alto se alimenta mediante un condensador de arranque conectado entre VB y VS. Cuando el MOSFET del lado bajo está encendido, VS está cerca de tierra y el condensador de arranque se carga a través del diodo de arranque desde VCC. Cuando el MOSFET de lado alto se enciende, VS se eleva a la tensión de bus, y el condensador bootstrap proporciona la alimentación flotante para el driver de lado alto. Esto elimina la necesidad de una fuente de alimentación aislada.

**El excitador de lado alto está referenciado a VS (el nodo del interruptor), que oscila entre tierra y la tensión del bus a dv/dt altos. El circuito de cambio de nivel traduce las señales lógicas referenciadas a tierra al dominio flotante del lado alto. El circuito de cancelación de ruido dv/dt de modo común evita falsos disparos durante estas transiciones rápidas.

**Desconexión ciclo a ciclo:** La patilla SD (desconexión) proporciona una función de desconexión activada por flanco. Cuando se detecta un flanco ascendente en SD, tanto HO como LO se fuerzan a LOW durante el resto del ciclo de conmutación. Las salidas reanudan el funcionamiento normal en la siguiente transición HIN/LIN. Esto proporciona una rápida protección contra sobrecorriente sin desconectar el excitador.

**Protección UVLO:** Tanto VCC como VBS son monitorizados por circuitos de bloqueo por bajo voltaje. Si VCC cae por debajo del umbral UVLO (aproximadamente 9,2 V típico), la salida del lado bajo se desactiva. Si VBS cae por debajo de su umbral UVLO (aproximadamente 8,6V típico), la salida del lado alto se desactiva. Esto evita que los MOSFET se exciten con una tensión de puerta insuficiente, lo que provocaría pérdidas de conducción excesivas y un posible fallo del dispositivo.
