The AD8066ARMZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is a dual high-performance 145MHz FastFET voltage feedback operational amplifier with JFET inputs offering 1pA input bias current and 0.6fA/sqrtHz current noise. Developed in Analog Devices’ proprietary XFCB process, the device achieves exceptionally low noise operation (7nV/sqrtHz voltage noise) with very high input impedance. The 145MHz bandwidth and 180V/us slew rate make it suitable for high-speed applications, while the -88dBc SFDR at 1MHz ensures excellent linearity. The wide supply range of 5V to 24V (single or dual), combined with rail-to-rail output, provides flexibility for diverse circuit configurations. With only 6.4mA per amplifier supply current, it delivers high performance at low power. The device is available in an MSOP-8 package rated for -40 to 85 C.

The AD8066ARMZ-REEL7 operates as a dual voltage feedback amplifier with JFET input stages. Key subsystems include: (1) JFET Input Pair – a matched pair of JFETs provides 1pA input bias current and extremely high input impedance, ideal for high-source-impedance applications; (2) Voltage Feedback Architecture – a traditional voltage feedback topology with high open-loop gain (100dB) provides bandwidth that varies inversely with closed-loop gain; (3) Rail-to-Rail Output Stage – a complementary bipolar output stage swings to within 100mV of each supply rail; (4) XFCB Process – Analog Devices’ eXtra Fast Complementary Bipolar process enables high ft transistors for 145MHz bandwidth and low noise; (5) Bias Circuit – internal bias network sets 6.4mA per amplifier quiescent current for optimal speed/power tradeoff.
