The AD9717BCPZ is a dual 14-bit digital-to-analog converter offering update rates up to 125 MSPS with low power consumption. Designed in a compact 32-lead LFCSP package, the device operates from a 1.8V analog supply and supports digital supply voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V. The dual-channel architecture makes it ideal for I/Q signal generation in communications systems. A 3-wire SPI interface allows flexible configuration of device parameters including gain adjustment and power-down modes.

The AD9717 uses a current-steering DAC architecture where each DAC channel converts 14-bit digital input codes into corresponding analog output currents. The dual-channel design supports differential or single-ended output configurations. Internal reference circuitry sets the full-scale output current. The SPI interface enables runtime configuration of gain, offset, and power modes. The DAC outputs can be terminated into resistive loads to generate voltage outputs, or connected to transformer-coupled circuits for differential signaling.
