The LMV358IDGKR from Texas Instruments is a dual low-voltage rail-to-rail output operational amplifier in an 8-pin VSSOP package. Operating from 2.7V to 5.5V, it delivers 1MHz gain-bandwidth product, 1V/µs slew rate, and zero crossover distortion. With input common-mode range extending 0.2V below ground and rail-to-rail output swing, it consumes only 210µA total quiescent current. The LMV358IDGKR integrates two independent operational amplifiers using a bipolar input stage optimized for low-voltage operation. The input stage supports a common-mode range from 0.2V below the negative rail (ground in single-supply) to approximately VCC – 0.8V, enabling ground-sensing applications. The output stage uses a complementary push-pull architecture with rail-to-rail output swing (within 65mV of ground and 120mV of VCC under no load) and zero crossover distortion, achieved by ensuring both the NPN and PNP output transistors are never simultaneously off during output transitions. The 1MHz gain-bandwidth product and 1V/µs slew rate support moderate-speed signal processing. The 210µA total supply current (both channels) makes it efficient for battery-powered designs. Internal compensation provides unity-gain stability without external components. The Ioff feature is not included (unlike the LVC logic family), but the device withstands input voltages up to 5.5V on any pin without latch-up.
