The ADUM1200ARZ-RL7 is a dual-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices using iCoupler magnetic coupling technology. It provides 2500Vrms isolation (UL1577) with >25kV/us common-mode transient immunity. The 2/0 same-direction channels support 3V/5V level translation across the isolation barrier. A-grade offers 1Mbps data rate with 150ns max propagation delay. Patent refresh circuitry ensures DC correctness during power-up/down and idle states. Power consumption is 1/10 to 1/6 of equivalent optocouplers.

iCoupler technology integrates high-speed CMOS with on-chip micro-transformers. Input-side CMOS encodes digital signals and drives the transformer primary; electromagnetic coupling transfers signals to the secondary where output CMOS decodes them. A patent refresh circuit periodically refreshes output state during idle periods to maintain DC correctness. On-chip shielding blocks capacitive coupling paths between primary and secondary, achieving >25kV/us CMTI. Dual independent channels each contain encoder, transformer, and decoder. The 2.7-5.5V supply range allows different voltages on each side for level translation across the isolation barrier.
