The LT3759EMSE#PBF is a wide input voltage range current-mode DC/DC controller from Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology). Operating from 1.6 V to 42 V input, it can be configured as a Boost, SEPIC, or Inverting (Flyback) converter. A unique single FBX feedback pin programs either positive or negative output voltage. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET with an internal LDO providing up to 4.75 V gate drive. Switching frequency is programmable from 100 kHz to 1 MHz with external synchronization capability.

The LT3759EMSE#PBF is a wide input voltage range current-mode DC/DC controller from Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology). It operates from 1.6V to 42V input and can be configured as Boost, SEPIC, or Inverting (Flyback) topology. A single FBX feedback pin programs positive or negative output voltage. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET with internal LDO providing up to 4.75V gate drive. Switching frequency is programmable from 100kHz to 1MHz with external sync capability. Features include PGOOD output, programmable soft-start, frequency foldback, and <1uA shutdown current.

The LT3759 uses fixed-frequency current-mode control. The error amplifier compares the FBX pin feedback with an internal reference, generating an error signal for the PWM comparator. A current-sense amplifier monitors external MOSFET current through the SENSE pin at a precise 50mV threshold for cycle-by-cycle current limiting. An internal LDO (INTVCC) powers the gate driver from VIN or DRIVE pin, supplying up to 4.75V. The FBX window comparator monitors output voltage and asserts PGOOD (active-low open-drain) when out of range. The SS pin sets startup ramp time; frequency foldback limits inductor current during output short-circuit. RT pin sets switching frequency; SYNC accepts external clock.
