The VTVS15B-HM3-08 from Vishay is a 15V bidirectional TVS diode with 150W peak pulse power in a SOT-23 package. It provides robust transient voltage protection against ESD, EFT, and surge events.

The TVS diode operates in reverse breakdown mode. Under normal voltage, the diode presents high impedance. When a transient exceeds the breakdown voltage, the diode avalanches, clamping the voltage and diverting transient current to ground.
