The UA7810CKCS from Texas Instruments is a fixed 10V positive voltage regulator from the industry-standard uA78 series, capable of delivering 1A output current. It requires minimal external components and features internal thermal shutdown, short-circuit current limiting, and output transistor safe area protection. The TO-263 (DDPAK) surface-mount package enables compact PCB designs.

The UA7810 uses a bandgap reference, error amplifier, and series pass transistor in a feedback loop. The output voltage is compared against the internal 10V reference, and the pass transistor drive is adjusted to maintain regulation. Thermal shutdown activates at approximately 150°C junction temperature, and current limiting protects during output short-circuit conditions.
