The TXS0104EPWR from TI is a 4-bit bidirectional auto-sensing level translator with 1.2-3.6V on both A and B ports, 110Mbps data rate, and integrated pass-gate architecture in TSSOP-14 for multi-voltage I/O interfacing.

The TXS0104EPWR is a 4-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator from TI in TSSOP-14 with auto-direction sensing. Each channel uses a pass-FET architecture with integrated 10kOhm pull-up resistors on both A and B sides. The pass-FET connects the A and B sides when both are at valid logic levels. When one side is driven LOW, the pass-FET conducts and the other side follows. When both sides are released HIGH, the internal pull-up resistors passively pull both sides to their respective supply rails (VCCA or VCCB). This auto-sense mechanism eliminates the need for direction control pins, making it ideal for open-drain bidirectional buses like I2C, SMBus, and SDIO. The 10kOhm pull-ups limit the maximum data rate to approximately 1-2Mbps for I2C applications. For push-pull signals, the edge-rate accelerators detect rising edges and briefly turn on additional pull-up current to speed the transition. The OE pin (active HIGH, referenced to VCCA) disables all outputs when LOW for power management. The device supports voltage translation between any combination of 1.2V-3.6V (A side) and 1.65V-5.5V (B side).
