TPS3897ADRYR

The TPS3897ADRYR from Texas Instruments is an ultra-small, adjustable voltage supervisor in a 6-pin USON package measuring just 1.45 x 1.0mm. It monitors any voltage above 500mV with 1% threshold accuracy across the full -40°C to +125°C temperature range. The delay time is capacitor-adjustable via the CT pin, providing flexibility in power sequencing. With only 6uA typical quiescent current, it is ideal for battery-powered applications. The active-high open-drain output is rated at 18V, enabling level-shifted reset signaling. Pin-for-pin compatible with MAX6895/6/7/8.

The TPS3897A uses a precision comparator to monitor the voltage at the SENSE pin against an internal 500mV reference. An external resistor divider sets the trip threshold. When SENSE rises above the threshold and ENABLE is high, the open-drain SENSE_OUT pin goes high-impedance after a capacitor-programmable delay set by the CT pin. When SENSE falls below the threshold or ENABLE goes low, SENSE_OUT asserts low immediately. The open-drain output is rated at 18V, allowing pull-up to voltage rails higher than VCC for level-shifted reset signaling.
