TPD4S009DCKR

The TPD4S009DCKR is a 4-channel TVS diode array providing ESD protection for high-speed differential data interfaces. With only 0.8pF typical I/O capacitance, it supports signal bandwidth exceeding 4GHz, making it ideal for HDMI, USB 2.0, SATA, and PCIe applications. The excellent capacitance matching (0.05pF differential in DRY package) minimizes signal distortion between differential pairs. The IOFF feature disconnects the protection structure when VCC is unpowered, preventing back-drive in hot-plug scenarios.

The TPD4S009 uses low-capacitance steering diodes on each I/O channel connected to a central TVS clamp. During normal operation, the diodes present minimal loading (0.8pF) to high-speed signals. When an ESD event occurs, the steering diodes quickly route the transient to the TVS clamp, which limits the voltage to 20V. The VCC pin powers the internal circuitry and provides an IOFF function: when VCC is removed, the I/O pins become high-impedance, preventing leakage paths that could disrupt powered-down systems.
