The TPA3118D2DADR from Texas Instruments is a 30W stereo Class-D audio amplifier operating from 8-26V input in a TSSOP-28 package. It provides high-efficiency amplification for consumer and professional audio applications.

Class-D amplifiers use pulse-width modulation (PWM) to convert the analog audio signal into a high-frequency switching waveform. The output stage uses MOSFETs switching between supply rails, achieving very high efficiency. An LC low-pass filter (or the speaker itself in filter-free designs) reconstructs the audio signal. The closed-loop feedback reduces distortion and improves PSRR.
