The TAXM40M4ZHBCDT2T from TXC Corporation is a 40MHz TCXO providing temperature-stable frequency reference for wireless communication, GPS timing, and networking equipment in a compact SMD package.

The TCXO uses a temperature compensation network consisting of thermistors and varactors that adjust the crystal load capacitance based on temperature. This compensation reduces the frequency variation over temperature from the +/-30-50ppm range of a plain crystal oscillator to typically +/-0.5 to +/-2.5ppm.
