The STM32H747XIH6 operates as a dual-core heterogeneous microcontroller. (1) The Cortex-M7 core at 480MHz handles computationally intensive tasks including GUI rendering, signal processing, and complex algorithms. The L1 cache (16KB I-Cache + 16KB D-Cache) and ART Accelerator with instruction prefetch minimize Flash wait states. The double-precision FPU accelerates floating-point calculations. The CM7 has access to 512KB tightly-coupled DTCM RAM for zero-wait-state data access and 128KB ITCM RAM for time-critical code execution. (2) The Cortex-M4 core at 240MHz handles real-time control tasks, communication protocols, and safety monitoring. The CM4 has its own 128KB DTCM RAM and 64KB ITCM RAM. Both cores share access to 288KB AXI SRAM and 64KB SRAM4. Inter-processor communication uses the IPCC (Inter-Processor Communication Controller) for interrupt signaling and HSEM (Hardware Semaphores) for shared resource mutex. (3) The dual-bank Flash architecture allows the CM7 to execute from one bank while the CM4 reads from the other, or one core to write/erase while the other reads. The Chrom-ART DMA2D accelerator offloads 2D graphic operations (fill, copy, blending) from the CM7, enabling smooth GUI rendering at 60fps. The LTDC drives TFT displays up to WXGA resolution.
