The SN74LVC1G04DBVR is a single-channel CMOS inverter gate from Texas Instruments in a compact 5-pin SOT-23 package. Operating from 1.65V to 5.5V, it performs the Boolean function Y = NOT(A) with a buffered push-pull output. The inputs are over-voltage tolerant up to 5.5V regardless of VCC, enabling level translation from higher to lower voltage domains. The Ioff feature ensures the output enters a high-impedance state when VCC is 0V, supporting live insertion and partial-power-down modes. With 3.3ns maximum propagation delay at 3.3V and +/-24mA output drive, it is ideal for high-speed logic inversion in space-constrained designs.

The SN74LVC1G04 implements a single CMOS inverter using a push-pull output stage. When the input is low (below VIH), the PMOS transistor turns on and the NMOS turns off, driving the output high. When the input is high (above VIH), the NMOS turns on and the PMOS turns off, driving the output low. The buffered output stage provides gain and sharp switching characteristics. The Ioff circuit disconnects the output stage when VCC is removed, preventing parasitic current paths. Over-voltage tolerant inputs use a thick-oxide NMOS structure that can withstand voltages above VCC without forward-biasing any junction.
