The SN65HVD3082EDR from Texas Instruments is a 3.3V RS-485 transceiver supporting data rates up to 200kbps. With extended common-mode range and low bus leakage, it is designed for robust half-duplex communication in industrial and building automation networks.

The device converts single-ended TTL/CMOS logic to differential RS-485 bus signals. The driver outputs differential voltage on A/B pins, while the receiver detects differential voltages as small as ±200mV. Direction control (DE/RE) switches between transmit and receive modes.
