The SN6501QDBVRQ1 from Texas Instruments is an automotive-grade monolithic oscillator and power driver specifically designed for isolated interface applications requiring small form factor isolated power supplies. The device drives the primary side of center-tapped transformers from a 3.3V or 5V DC supply, providing push-pull drive with break-before-make logic to prevent shoot-through currents. At 5V supply, the device delivers up to 350mA primary drive current at a 410kHz switching frequency, while at 3.3V it delivers 150mA at 360kHz. The low RDS(ON) of 0.6Ohm minimizes power dissipation. The SN6501QDBVRQ1 operates as a self-oscillating push-pull transformer driver.
