The S12B-PUDSS-1 from JST is a 12-position, 2.0mm pitch, dual-row right-angle through-hole PCB header from the PUD series of wire-to-board connectors. The PUD series features a compact high-density double-row design with a secure locking mechanism that produces an audible click when the header and socket are mated, providing reliable connection in high-vibration environments. The S12B-PUDSS-1 is a side-entry (right-angle) header with a PCB locating boss (indicated by the -1 suffix) for precise alignment during assembly. The shrouded 4-wall design protects the male pins from damage and prevents mismating. The tin-plated copper alloy contacts provide reliable solder termination with low contact resistance. The glass-filled PA66 insulation meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements.

The S12B-PUDSS-1 is a passive connector header providing a mechanical and electrical interface between a PCB and wire harness. The male pin contacts are square-profile copper alloy with tin plating, providing a gas-tight connection when mated with the female crimp contacts. The latch holder engages with a corresponding latch on the mating receptacle housing, producing an audible click to confirm proper mating. The 4-wall shroud surrounds the male pins, preventing damage during handling and ensuring correct polarization. The through-hole solder terminals provide mechanical retention and electrical connection to the PCB. The right-angle orientation routes the cable parallel to the PCB surface.
