The on-chip RTCC with 32kHz oscillator provides accurate timekeeping without external components. The Charge Time Measurement Unit (CTMU) enables capacitive touch sensing without external components. The PIC18F66K22 operates around the PIC18 8-bit CPU core with a hardware multiply unit for single-cycle 8×8 multiplication. The clock system supports multiple sources including an internal 64MHz oscillator (16MHz with 4x PLL), external crystals, and external clock. The XLP technology minimizes power consumption through optimized sleep modes with typical sleep currents under 20nA.
