The OPA2192IDGKR from Texas Instruments is a dual precision operational amplifier using proprietary e-trim technology to achieve +/-5 uV max offset voltage and 0.2 uV/C max drift without laser trimming. The rail-to-rail output stage maximizes dynamic range in single-supply applications. The 140 dB CMRR and 134 dB open-loop gain enable precise differential measurements in bridge and instrumentation circuits. The 10 MHz bandwidth and 20 V/us slew rate support precision active filters and signal conditioning beyond DC. EMI-filtered inputs reduce susceptibility to RF interference in noisy environments. The device operates from +/-2.25 V to +/-18 V dual supplies or 4.5 V to 36 V single supply.

The OPA2192IDGKR uses TI’s e-trim technology, which performs electronic trimming of the input offset voltage during the final wafer test. Unlike laser trimming which physically cuts metal links, e-trim uses programmable non-volatile memory cells that adjust the input stage current mirror to null the offset. This method produces no mechanical stress and is more stable over time and temperature. The input stage uses a folded-cascode architecture with complementary N-channel and P-channel input pairs to achieve rail-to-rail common-mode input range. The output stage uses a class AB push-pull configuration that swings to within 50 mV of each rail at light loads. The 140 dB CMRR is achieved through precise matching of the input pair tail currents and active load balancing. The EMI filter on the inputs consists of a low-pass RC network that attenuates RF signals above approximately 10 MHz before they can be rectified by the input transistors.
