The OP295GSZ from Analog Devices is a dual rail-to-rail output precision operational amplifier using a BiCMOS process to achieve 100uV typical offset voltage and 0.1uV/°C drift without chopper stabilization. The device operates from +/-2V to +/-18V supply with rail-to-rail output swing and an input common-mode range that extends to the negative rail. The low 500nV p-p noise from 0.1-10Hz makes it suitable for precision DC and low-frequency applications. The 1.6MHz GBW and 500uA per-amplifier quiescent current provide a good balance of speed and power consumption. The device is unity-gain stable and can drive capacitive loads up to 1000pF. The GSZ suffix denotes the 14-pin SOIC (narrow body) package.

The OP295GSZ is a BiCMOS precision operational amplifier. (1) BiCMOS Process: The device combines bipolar input transistors (for low noise and low offset) with CMOS output transistors (for rail-to-rail output swing). The input stage uses a PNP differential pair for common-mode range to the negative rail, while the output stage uses common-source PMOS and NMOS transistors for rail-to-rail output swing. (2) Precision Trimming: The offset voltage is trimmed using zener-zapping during wafer-level test, achieving 100uV typical without the clock-feedthrough noise associated with chopper-stabilized amplifiers. (3) Rail-to-Rail Output: The CMOS output stage can swing to within a few millivolts of either supply rail at light loads, maximizing dynamic range in single-supply applications. (4) Low Noise: The bipolar input transistors provide lower voltage noise than CMOS-input op-amps, with 500nV p-p noise from 0.1-10Hz and 19nV/sqrtHz at 1kHz.
